Q & A with Danielle
Please tell us more about your current position.
I work in Lockheed Martin's legal department in the International Trade Compliance Office authoring the export license and agreement applications for the aeronautics line of business.
Please tell us more about your Archer Fellowship Program internship.
In spring 2016, I interned with the U.S. Department of State in the Office of Emergencies in the Diplomatic and Consular Service.
What has been your general career path?
After my internship at the U.S. State Department during my Archer Fellowship semester, I worked at the State Department for a year and a half as a staff assistant in the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations. I have been at Lockheed Martin for the past five years.
How has your experience as an Archer Fellow influenced your career path and goals?
My internship as an Archer Fellow directly connected me to all of my jobs after college and my current career path in international trade compliance.
What did you value the most about your Archer Fellowship Program experience?
My most valued take away from my Archer Fellowship experience was the amazing cohort. It was so motivating to be surrounded by impressive peers that were all striving to better themselves!
What do you value the most about being an alumnae?
The Archer Fellowship Program truly sharpened my networking abilities, which has directly impacted the professional I am today. I value the lessons the Archer Fellowship teaches each cohort that stays with them even after their semester in Washington, D.C., is over!
What is your favorite memory as an Archer Fellow?
My favorite memory was sledding on Capitol Hill with my Archer Fellow cohort during the big snowstorm in February 2016.
