2022-2023 Archer Fellow Alumni Ambassadors
Archer Fellow Alumni Ambassadors act as official representatives of the Archer Center, sharing their experiences and knowledge of Archer Center programs with prospective students, faculty, and campus administrators. In addition, Alumni Ambassadors support alumni engagement by connecting recent graduates with the Archer Fellow Alumni Association. For the 2022-2023 recruitment year, Alumni Ambassador duties may be performed in-person or via virtual formats as campus policy and participant needs dictate.

Alumni Ambassadors play a large role in connecting past, present, and future Archer Fellows!

Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of the Archer Fellowship/Graduate Archer Fellowship Program—preference given to more recent graduates.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire to communicate the benefits of the Archer Fellowship Program/Graduate Archer Fellowship Program and your personal experience to prospective students and Archer Fellow alumni.
Expectations:
  • Represent the Archer Fellowship Program/Graduate Archer Fellowship Program professionally and enthusiastically.
  • Commitment of approximately three to five hours per week (Archer Fellows commit to three to five hours per week for the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters, Graduate Archer Fellows commit to three to five hours per week for the fall 2022 semester).
  • Communicate regularly with Archer Center staff about recruitment activities.

Responsibilities:​

Alumni Ambassadors must be able to commit to three to five hours per week for the fall 2022 semester, though the actual time commitment will vary throughout the semester. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Prospective Student Outreach
  • Attend and share your experiences at Archer Fellowship information sessions scheduled by Archer Center staff and campus coordinators.
  • Coordinate with campus organizations and faculty members to visit meetings and classrooms to speak to students interested in the program.
  • Meet with and answer questions from prospective Archer Fellows with discretion.
  • Assist with distributing marketing materials.
Alumni Engagement
  • Share and participate in optional professional development and networking with other alumni.
  • Attend check-in meetings for Archer Fellow Alumni Association updates and events to share with cohort.
  • Provide Archer Center staff with updates on cohort news to feature on social media.
Archer Center Logistics
  • Participate in Alumni Ambassador training.
  • Regularly check in with the program specialist, communicate activities with other ambassadors, and submit a record of outreach activities.
  • Provide insight and feedback to Archer Center staff on student interests and trends.

Compensation: Alumni Ambassadors who fulfill their responsibilities will be awarded a stipend at the end of the term, commensurate with their participation in the Alumni Ambassadors Program.
