Friends of the Archer Center

The Friends of the Archer Center is an auxiliary organization of the Archer Center comprised of mid-level professionals who share the vision and mission of the Archer Center, and serve in a variety of hands-on ways, including:

  • Mentoring the Archer Fellows,
  • Helping with events put on by the Archer Center including the annual Welcome to the Beltway seminar,
  • Assisting with placement of Archer Fellows in substantive internships, and
  • Spreading the word about the Archer Center and building the network of people willing to support the Archer Center through their time and talent.

By using their experiences and expertise, the Friends help the Archer Fellows build strong professional foundations and ensure that the next generation of leaders from Texas is fully equipped for their next steps in lives. The experience of working with the Fellows is a rewarding one that is not measured in time spent or hours volunteered but rather in lives touched. There is no specific time commitment, nor is there a development requirement. Each individual member can serve in the capacity which best suits their needs and interests.
