The Summer Speaker Series

2008 Summer Speaker Series

The 2008 Summer Speakers Series features six weeks of guest speakers who will enlighten students and alumni of the LBJ School of Public Affairs, as well as UT students, alumni, and friends on issues of domestic and international policy.

All Summer Speaker Series Events are held at the The Archer Center from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

May 20th - Ken Apfel - Former Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA)

June 3rd - Former Congressman Martin Frost

June 10th - Austin Smythe - US House Minority Committee Staff Director. A graudate of the LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1980.

July 8th - David Berteau - Director of the Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group – Center for Strategic & International Studies. A graudate of the LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1981.
