Heidi Boutros, UT AustinPlan II Honors Program & Government, May 2004 Heidi is a junior in the prestigious Plan II Honors Program. She is focusing in Government and has recently started the Ethics and Leadership Bridging Disciplines Program with the Connexus office. She has been awarded many honors, including the Dedman Scholarship, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa as a junior. She has been highly involved in a number of human rights activities, including co-authoring and presenting a Racial Discrimination Report on South Africa for the U.N. World Conference Against Racism. |

Adriane Busby, UT AustinGovernment, May 2003 Adriane has pursued an aggressive course of study in Government and has supplemented her campus time with a semester abroad in Granada, Spain, and now with the Bill Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C. She has served UT Austin as a resident assistant in the honors hall, providing mentoring and support to 50 undergraduate women. She co-founded the Delta Chapter of Alpha Rho Lambda Sorority, Inc. |

Michelle Coyle, UT DallasGovernment & Politics, May 2003 Michelle is an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta and has served as the Philanthropy Chair, Vice President for Administration, and Editor. One of her greatest achievements as a Theta was creating and maintaining a relationship between the sorority and Attitudes & Attire, a battered women’s organization. Michelle has also served as the Non-Traditional Student Issues Chairman and Elections Chairman for the Student Government Association and recently ran the campaign for an aspiring ticket. She holds a UTD Academic Distinction Scholarship, a Roe Foundation Scholarship, and is a student in the Collegium V Honors Program. |

Rachel Herwig, UT ArlingtonNursing & History with a minor in Political Science, May 2003 Rachel has an intense interest in helping people and talents in the medical field. She has focused her energies on Africa and has been instrumental in the UT Arlington Africa Program. She has been invited by many academic and government officials in West African countries to participate in research and improvement projects of rural health care delivery systems. She has garnered many awards, including participation in the Honors College, being named a McNair Scholar, and being nominated by UT Arlington for the Truman Scholarship. |

Erik Holt, UT AustinPublic Relations, May 2003 Erik is pursuing a degree in public relations and a certificate in business foundations. He has supplemented his classroom experience with a number of internship activities, including serving as a communications intern with the State Bar of Texas, a marketing communications intern with National Instruments, and participating in the Winter Externship Program at Personalities and Promotions International. He is a member of the Communication Council, a Texas Blazer, and an Orientation Advisor. |

Ali Khedery, UT AustinGovernment, History, & Economics, May 2003 Ali is a senior majoring in Government, History and Economics with interests revolving around law and the international political economy. As a Fellow in the Office of Governor Rick Perry, Ali assisted in the research and creation of the Governor's Council on Science and Biotechnology Development, and later served as a member of the Governor's staff dedicated to the Council. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and currently holds the Edward J. Taborsky Endowed Scholarship in Government and is a Jeffery J. Dye Leadership Fellow. |

Cristina Maas, UT AustinGovernment, December 2002 Cristina is studying government with a concentration in Spanish linguistics. She has participated in extensive language study, including a semester in Madrid, Spain through Syracuse University and an intensive program at the Conversa School of Language in San Jose, Costa Rica. She has worked as an accounting assistant for the Republican Party of Texas and has volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the HOSTS tutoring program, and the Humane Society. |

Magdalena Mar, UT AustinLatin American Studies, May 2004 Maggie is bilingual in Spanish and English and is working towards a degree in the top-rated Latin American Studies program at UT Austin with a minor in Government. Outside of the classroom, she has served as the Academic Committee Chairperson for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Chapter, a PAL Member with the Partnership to Advanced Language Study, and a Compassionate Board Member with the Women’s Relief Society. |

Jennifer Mock, UT AustinJournalism & Government, May 2003 Jennifer is a senior reporter with The Daily Texan and has covered the UT Administration beat. She has also served in a number of print journalism internships, including being selected from significant applications to serve as a summer intern with The Oklahoman. She spent a semester in Washington, D.C., working with Stateline.org, which provides connection between the state reporters and Washington, D.C. She is also a member of the Wesley Methodist Foundation, plays intramural hockey, and is a Senior Fellows candidate in the College of Communication. |

Stephen Sibley, UT DallasGovernment & Politics, May 2004 Stephen is a junior studying politics and government at UTD and is part of the prestigious Collegium V Honors program. Stephen has an intense interest in understanding how the development of history plays into current politics and governmental procedures. To supplement his classroom learning, he sought out a position with the campaign office of U.S. Representative Sam Johnson, where he served as an intern for several semesters. |

Tommy Sigala, UT AustinCorporate Communication & Government, May 2003 Tommy is a Senior at UT Austin where his studies have been concentrated in both the public and private sectors of American society. He plans to better serve his hometown and state as a public servant in the future. He spent two years as a resident assistant at a San Jacinto Hall were he set up many programs and activities for residents. Additionally, he was selected to become a member of the prestigious Texas Blazers, an all male organization of student leaders that serve as official hosts for The University and that provide services to the Austin community. His most rewarding activity has been his experience as a mentor for a local high school student as part of the BigBrothers/BigSisters Origination in Austin. |

Jeffrey Underwood, UT AustinEconomics Honors & Government, May 2004 Jeff has complemented his coursework with summer internships at Texaco Power and Gasification and Texaco Natural Gas. He is a member of the Undergraduate Research Team for Economics and Omicron Delta Epsilon, the Economics Honors Society, for which he also served as President. He volunteers as a student teacher with the innovative UTeach Program at Sanchez Elementary School in Austin. Jeff has been recognized as an Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction and is an Eagle Scout. |

Jennifer Yi, UT AustinGovernment, May 2004 Jennifer works as an intern for the Texas Attorney General’s Office Crime Victims Service Division and is responsible for research, updating materials in Victimology and Presumptive Eligibility training, and assisting the Director of Training & Assistance Program. She has volunteered with Memorial Hospital Northwest and the Korean Christian Church, both in Houston. She has been recognized as Magna Cum Laude on the Dean’s Honor List and is involved with Best Buddies and Leadership Education and Progress. |
